Even in a tough economy, Evelyn Lauder’s battle against breast cancer is soldiering on.
Mrs. Lauder, who serves as senior corporate vice president of The Estée Lauder Companies, kicked off its 17th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign with a cocktail reception at New York’s Neue Galerie on May 26. Special guests included Panamanian First Lady Vivian Fernández de Torrijos, and Dr. Larry Norton, deputy physician-in-chief for breast cancer programs at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
In addition to announcing the 21 products from 15 Lauder brands that would be sold to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), Mrs. Lauder commemorated the 10th anniversary of The Estée Lauder Companies’ global landmark illumination initiative, which bathes noted buildings and monuments around the world in pink lights.
