The niche Australian tanning and makeup line ModelCo is seeing things in-the-round. On April 9, the brand introduced a carousel-like tester unit at Henri Bendel with circular, rotating trays for a more interactive shopping experience.
The unit, which measures three feet in diameter and was designed by New York-based display manufacturer Tony Valentine, features four detachable panels for ModelCo’s face, lip, eye and body categories. A vitrine case on top showcases the brand’s latest innovations. The counter is also located in a prime retail position at Bendel’s—in a middle aisle with store traffic moving in both directions.
Already, ModelCo has seen a 60% increase in sales since its installation, said Sarah Pesce, the brand’s vice president, North America.
