The Fragrance Foundation announced today the creation of a brand new FiFi award category for Perfume Extraordinaire of the Year 2008—honoring the “actual ‘juice’ of a fine fragrance,” stated the organization’s president, Rochelle Bloom.
“This award celebrates the aesthetic beauty of a fragrance—the craftsmanship, design, signature, creativity and quality,” she continued. “It not only recognizes the essential oil company but also the perfumer(s).”
Oil houses can submit one entry—either a masculine or feminine scent—which will be judged by an independent panel. The winner will be announced at the FiFi awards on May 27.
