ICMAD’s Young Designers’ Competition

Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) will host its 11th annual Young Designers’ Competition on September 16—during the second day of HBA Global Expo—at Twenty Four Fifth restaurant in New York City.

Three awards for a total of $5000 will be distributed to students from six elite academic institutions for their contributions to the personal care packaging industry.

Participating schools include: the American Academy of Art in Chicago, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Miami International University of Art & Design and Savannah College of Art & Design.

Judges—who will assess uniqueness, ability to be reproduced, economic viability and storage accessibility—are as follows: John Collier of Susan M. Rafaj Marketing Services Inc., Santo Fareri of SRF Design Ltd., Gregg Lukasiewicz of Lukasiewicz Design Inc., Kenneth Noskin of Ideate, and Rick Prater of Rick Prater Design.
